OCA-GS/Coalition Win Suit to
Block WA Restrictive Voter Registration Rule

In May OCA - Greater Seattle and other local groups filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court in Seattle seeking to overturn a law that voter registrations must match personal information in other government databases. 

OCA-GS Lawsuit Says State Voter Registration Rule Too Strict

This week a Federal judge ruled against the law making it unneccessary for county officials to match voter names against federal database -- a requirement that would have been expensive and difficult to implement before the upcoming primary elections.
